Day01: Arrive in Lhasa city (altitude at 3650 meters, 11975 feet)
Today's activities: Leisure time of relaxation and altitude acclimatization
Welcome to the "Roof Top of the World." Upon your arrival to Tibet Gonggar Airport or Lhasa station, we will meet you with your name sign and transfer you to the hotel. After your long flight or tired train travel to Tibet, maybe it is good for you to sleep for about one hour and after dinner, walk little bit around Barkhor streets to have the first impression of Lhasa.

Day02: Tour of Lhasa Meals: [Breakfast]
Today's activities: Potala PalaceJokhang TempleSera MonasteryBarkhor Street
This morning you'll wind your way up through the stunning, awe-inspiring Potala Palace. Built in 637 AD by Songtsen Gampo, it was the former winter residence for the Dalai Lamas and is truly a splendor of eastern architecture. Next, visit the Jokhang Temple, the center of Tibetan Buddhism, also built in the 7th century on the legendary pond of "Wothang." Later after lunch, witness the famous debate sessions by the monks at Sera Monastery. And finish the day by taking a Kora around the Barkhor. Test your bartering skills with the locals in this push-and-shove economy.

Day03 Lhasa Suburb countryside Village trip Meals: [Breakfast]
Today's activity: Lhasa-Drak Yerpa Meditations hermitage caves-Ganden Monastery-Jiama Village view (if you are interested, we can take you to have a visit to local Tibetan family), around 6-7 pm, we drive back to Lhasa

Day04: Lhasa-Lake Yamdrok-Gyantse-Shigatse (350km, 8-10 hrs): Meals: [Breakfast]
Today's activities: Yamdrok Lake (100km from Lhasa), Southern part of Tibet Plateau (3 hours of drive)
In the morning you'll start the drive to Shigatse, via Gyantse on the Southern Friendship Highway. Crossing over the summit of Kamba  La (4794 m), you'll see  the tranquil turquoise waters of Lake Yamdrok below; one of the three holiest  lakes in Tibet. Far in the distance you'll spot the towering massif Mt.  Nojin Kangtsang (7191m) and the staggering Karo-la Glacier (5045m). Afterwards, you'll drive to Shigatse, and overnight there.

Day05: Tashilumpu Monastery & Drive to Shegar (240km, 4-6 hrs) Meals: [Breakfast]
Today's activities:  Tashilhunpo Monastery, drive from Shigatse to Shegar (4 hours of drive)
This morning you'll have a chance to visit Tashilumpu Monastery, the home of the Panchen Lama, which is essentially a walled town with cobbled and twisting lanes that revolve around a magnificent monastery.  Then be driven to Shegar city via the Gyatsola (altitude 5140m), rest and prepared for Everest highlight and easy land adventure travel!
Tips: More time to explore: the local free market- the largest souvenir market in Shigatse could be a pretty good choice.

Tips: Before we leave Shigatse, our guide will take your passport to process the PSB permit to Everest Area, it will take few mins (pending the queue at the office), and you may either wait in the vehicle or just walk around. The application could be arranged next morning alternatively.
 
Day06: Shegar-Rongbuk (100 km slow & safe drive)-Campsite, trek 4 km to Everest Base Camp Meals: [Breakfast]
Today's activities: Everest Base Camp (4 to 6 hours of drive) 4km trekking adventure
Depart from Shegar in the early morning around 4:30 am, we drive about 30km to Gyula Mountain pass where we may have opportunity to take the amazing Everest Sunrise, then we have a straight drive to Rongbuk Monastery (70km) where to rest few minutes (Rongphu Monastery is the highest monastery in the world), then continue 4km drive to Campsite (around 11:30 am), check in the local tented guesthouses, for those trekkers, it is great to do the 4km high altitude trekking to Everest Base Camp, enjoy the view to Mt. Everest, in the evening (around 8 pm) we may have good opportunity to visit the Everest Sunset nearby our tent. It is really awesome.

Special tip: the toilet in Everest Base Camp region is quite simple and not clean.
 
Day07: Mt. Everest B.C-Shigatse (340km landscape tour, 7-10 hrs) Meals: [Breakfast]
Today's activities:  Everest Sunrise and last peak at Everest ( 8 hours of drive)
Wake this morning below the stunning north face of Mt. Everest (8844.43 m), the tallest mountain on earth. For those tourists want to go to Base Camp in the morning to have closer view to Everest, we can take the local environment tour vehicle to Everest. B.C and after shooting the photos, we come back to Campsite and then we drive back to Shigatse (340km), and be wrapped again in the endless vistas of the Tibetan plateau.

Day08: Back to Lhasa (280km, 5-6 hours slow and safe drive), Meals: [Breakfast]  
Today’s activities: Different route to Lhasa city, free time in Lhasa (5 hours of drive)
We are going to drive back to Lhasa via the central China Nepal Highway which is 280km. Enjoy the breathless views to the mountains under an endless Himalayan sky.  After you arrive at Lhasa, you would have plenty of time to explore what you have missed last time.

Note that: if someone of you needs to leave Tibet today by an afternoon flight, it is workable and we can transfer to airport for your flight and then drive back to Lhasa.

 
Day09: Lhasa & Return Home, Meals: [Breakfast]
If your flight or train is in the afternoon, enjoy the free time in the morning! You can walk around the ancient Barkhor Streets; do some necessary easy shopping for your family and/or friends and/or love before being transported to the airport or station.
