4 Travel Documentation
A valid passport with valid China Visa is required for your travelling on our programs (for travelers enter Tibet from Nepal, we can apply China Visa for you when you are in Nepal). For all travelers entering Tibet, a Tibet Tourism Bureau (TTB) Permit is required. We offer all kinds of help to get the necessary documents prepared. For more details, please check Tibet Travel Permits.
5 Insurance
Tibet Travel Expert Service (TTES-online brand of Tibet Niwei International Travel Service, Co., Ltd) always pays attention to traveler’s safety during travelling in Tibet and we regard it as one of our top concerns. As a well-experienced and professional Tibet travel agency, we highly recommend that you purchase full coverage travel insurance from your country. The liability insurance that we buy for our customers is basic, with limited coverage and restricted regulations. Thus, TTES strongly recommends customers to acquire international standard travel insurance coverage before departing from your home country, which may cover trip cancellation, flights cancellation or delay, trip interruption, emergency medical evacuation and medical expenses, baggage lost, etc. In case of medical emergency in remote places of Tibet, you will most likely be taken to the nearest medical facilities or airport by a car (or local way of transportation), where you can catch the next flight or a train to a better facilitated hospital in mainland China. If your travel insurance company is not able to send you a rescue helicopter, you need to make sure that you can at least receive reimbursement for all your expenses. TTES will help with all necessary documents for your claim.
6 Health Requirement
Due to high altitude of Tibet, travelers should confirm that your body is suitable for the high altitudes. We strongly suggest you consult your doctor in advance to make sure you can adapt to plateau condition. For more references, please check Mountain Sickness-AMS FAQs.
7 Complaints and Claims
If you have any problems during the trip, you are encouraged to let your tour guide or our tour advisers know instantly and we will try our best to fix the problems. If you have any complaints after the tour, you can reach us through our email Tony@TibetTravelExpert.com within 15 days. You should also provide booking reference number and relevant information (including receipts and other substantiating evidence). As it will be difficult for us to investigate a complaint beyond 15 days, your compensation of your claim will be reduced or declined.
