Tibetan Autumn Mountain Climbing Activities Come to an End, More Than 50 Foreign Mountaineering Teams are Received throughout the Year
Reporters from the Mountain Management Center of Tibet Autonomous Region was informed that the Autumn Tibet mountain climbing activities have been completed on the Oct. 25th, this year Tibet climbing center received a total of more than 50 teams from the United Kingdom, Russia, Austria, Australia and other 30 countries and regions, nearly 700 people, to Mt. Everest, Cho Oyu for their climbing.
In 2015, by the Nepal “4.25” earthquake, a number of mountains above 8,000 meters in Tibet had no one climbed to the summit. After a year, the Tibetan mountaineering season opened again. Among the 696 people in the spring and autumn, 296 people had successfully climbed to the summit.
With the increasing number of mountain climbers in Tibet in recent years, the Tibetan sports section has also enhanced the popularization and promotion about the amateur mountaineering and outdoor activities. The mountaineering conference not only would hold twice a year both in spring and autumn, but also added mountain biking, trekking and other projects in the fall of 2014 Mountaineering Conference.
The 14th Tibet Mountaineering Conference was held in early October this year. It is expected that more outdoor projects will be unveiled in the near future, and the Tibet travel will be popular.
